Rotterdam's Market Hall is the first covered market in the Netherlands, combining a tasty shopping experience inside a unique building. This iconic fresh market has 100 fresh produce sellers, 15 food shops and 8 restaurants. - Cube Houses
The iconic cube houses (Kubuswoningen) of Rotterdam are a part of a residential complex designed over 30 years ago in a unique architectural project. Conceived by the Dutch architect Piet Blom, the buildings are characterized by several buildings, in the shape of cubes tilted at 45-degrees.
- Rotterdam Old Harbor
A stone's throw from the cube houses and the new and ultra-modern covered market (Binnenrotte Market) is the Oudehaven area. Dating back to the 14th century, it is the oldest port in Rotterdam. It can be said that the commercial and port life of the city developed thanks to this port.
- Witte Huis
The Witte Huis or White House was the tallest building in Rotterdam and Europe's first skyscraper when it was built in 1898. It is one of the few buildings in the city to survive the German bombardments of 14 May 1940, and is a Rijksmonument that is also included on the UNESCO World Heritage list.
