Action packed fjord cruise into the majestic Lysefjord. We start off by gliding out of Stavanger harbor before we accelerate to a thrilling 30+ knots. We cruise as fast as the RIBs offered by other operators, but our boats are sturdier and more spacious. Seating in front- and aft deck, plus ability to walk around the whole boat, provide excellent photo opportunities. On the way to Lysefjord, we'll pass beautiful scenery, wild nature, idyllic islands, fish-farms, small villages and cozy cabins. After we pass Lysefjord-bridge the scenery change into massive rock formations and huge cliffs. We'll visit Vagabond's cave where some rather shady people hid from the sheriff. Off course we'll also behold the world-renowned Pulpit rock as is stands 604 meters above the fjord. Learn how it was made and why the fjord is shaped as it is. Lastly, you'll hear the fascinating story of how and why "Whiskey-falls" got its nickname. Beware...the captain might put the boat directly into the waterfall!

What a wonderful experience! The boat captain was very knowledgeable and friendly. The speedboat worked well for fitting what we wanted to see of the fyord in the 2 hr we had available since we were on an ocean cruise. My wife and our two friends were the only passengers so it was much more personalized of a trip in comparison to the cruise shore speedboat excursions and far less expensive. The bright green boating suits which we wore were comfortable and help cut the cold wind of the trip. Overall a highly recommended trip!

I was trying to decide between this speedboat and a RIB boat tour. I definitely made the right decision! The boat is fantastic, and the captain was great. We saw several RIB boats. The passengers were so packed in, it looked like they were sitting on each other's laps. We had plenty of space.

We appreciate your kind review. We try to offer something more exclusive, and with better comfort than the packed RIB boats, so glad you liked it! Thanks!

We had a private boat tour with Kjetil. It was an absolute perfect afternoon. Our group was happy about the entire highly professional handling. The impressions were perfect. The child travelling in the group had a "once in a lifetime" day. It was an incredible amount of fun. Kjetil was the perfect guide for our group. Highly recommended. When we will be back in area Stavanger, our first choice to make such a trip will be Fjord Xplore.

Had a great trip with Lucy as the guide. The boat was nice and comfortable and unlike the RIB boats you have a bit more room to move around.

We appreciate the kind review! :-)
The tour start in our boathouse in Strandkaien 34, located in the heart of Stavanger harbour and a very short walking distance from the cruise terminal. Here you will be able to sit down and relax, use our WC, put on the floating suit etc. You will also meet the captain which will help you to put on the safety equipment. He will also give you a small safety brief before boarding the boat. We start off slowly by gliding out of Stavanger harbour while passing mighty cruiseships or other vessels. On the way out you will have a beautiful view of the city centre and to some of the iconic buildings like "Tollboden" and the Norwegian oil museum. After we pass the bridge you will see a gigantic street art painting before we then accelerate to a thrilling 25-35 knots and head to Lysefjorden. Note: due to capacity restraints and regulations we might have to depart from another dock nearby. Fjord Xplore will provide free transfer (<5 min. drive).
The Lysefjord, spanning an impressive 42 kilometers, is a marvel of natural beauty nestled in the heart of Norway. The fjord, carved by glaciers during the last Ice Age, showcases a dramatic landscape where steep mountains, adorned with lush emerald forests and cascading waterfalls, rise sharply from pristine waters.
World renowned natural formations draw thousands to the fjord every year, including Pulpit Rock, a flat topped cliff offering breathtaking views.
As you venture through its narrow corridor, you’ll be on the lookout for the bustling wildlife that inhabits the region. On a good day it will be possible to spot seals, porpoises, sea eagles, and more.
Learn about this fascinating cave and gaze at the spectacular rock formations there.
Behold one of Norway's most famous landmarks; Preikestolen (Pulpit Rock). Learn about how Lysefjord and Preikestolen were formed and the legends surrounding it.
Discover the secrets about what went on at this waterfall and how it got its nickname "Whiskey falls". Feel (and taste) the waterspray. The waterfall stands 75m tall and is unique in that it's not a single, uniform cascade. Instead, it's a complex system of streams and falls that weave together to create a truly mesmerizing sight. As the water pours down the cliff face, it creates a mist that shrouds the mountainside in an ethereal haze.
