Nothing says Christmas like Dyker Heights, the most famous display of lights on the planet. Locals have been decorating their homes—personally and professionally—since the '80s, making it a true NYC winter wonderland.
THE TOUR WILL TAKE PLACE RAIN or SHINE!
The ride from Midtown to Dyker Heights in Brooklyn is about an hour long on board of our comfortable coach fully heated with a restroom on board.
Your guide will escort you to Lucy Spata's house, the house that started this tradition, and walk you through the most illuminated streets before taking you back to the bus. You will spend about an hour in Dyker Heights strolling around and taking pictures.
The next stop will be at the foot of the Brooklyn Bridge in the DUMBO/Brooklyn Heights area of Brooklyn. You will have about 25 minutes to take pictures of the breathtaking Manhattan skyline and the Bridge.
Then you will return to Manhattan via the Manhattan Bridge. The tour ends at the Bryant Park Winter Village.

The lights were quite spectacular but not always in a concentrated area so sometimes a lot of walking just to get to the houses with the lights. The bus ride over was quite frustrating and long; unnecessarily long. We stopped shortly after leaving just for a restroom break that took forever. No wonder the trip is listed as a 4hr trip! There’s a bathroom on the bus! On the return departure there was yet another restroom stop under the Brooklyn Bridge. We took the opportunity to leave the group at that point and walk back over the bridge, stopping first for a great pizza dinner on the Brooklyn side. That saved the night from being a complete waste of time.

This was one of the best things I did on my trip to New York. Dyker heights is amazing! The walk was very enjoyable and full of Christmas spirit. You won’t be disappointed

Quite hilly so not suitable for those with walking restrictions. Houses are decorated beautifully as its residential be respectful of properties and neighbours

My family went on this tour on Christmas and it was really nice. The drawback was that there were a lot of other tours going on at the time so we were left behind several times by our guide which caused us to miss out on the history of the homes. Our tour guide did give everyone on the tour his number in case anyone got lost. This was perfect because there were some people who had to call. He also had a light that he held up as he walked to make sure we could see him. The stop to the Brooklyn Bridge was beautiful! I would recommend this tour because it took us to another area of New York we wouldn’t have seen otherwise.
This is the main stop of our tour. (Note: buses are not allowed in Dyker Heights because of the narrow streets). Your guide will escort you to the two most illuminated streets and orient you. You will then have an hour to explore and take pictures on your own.
Stop to enjoy spectacular views of the Brooklyn Bridge and the breathtaking Manhattan Skyline illuminated! (Note: duration can be between 20-30 minutes depend on traffic.)
This is where our tour ends. Bryant Park's Winter Village is a market with over 150 stalls selling seasonal food, drink & gifts as well as a large ice skating rink with skate rental. You can enjoy the view of the colorful Bryant Park Christmas tree and buy one of the best hot chocolate in town. The Rockefeller Center and its tree are only a few minutes walk from here.
