In two hours, Michele not only provided a comprehensive overview of the history of Florence, but he made so fascinating that I now want to read books about it! He is a great storyteller and his passion for the subject of Florence (as we non-Italians call It) is contagious. I cannot recommend this tour enough. Make it your first tour as it will clarify what you want to explore while you’re in this fascinating city.
Renaissance for Rookies!

If you've never been to Florence and feel you need a general overview of the city's historic sites, or if you're travelling with young people (age 10-20) who think history is dry and boring --this is the tour for you!! We started our 5-day visit with this leisurely walking tour of Florence and got a fun and interesting introduction to the key historical protagonists that influenced the shape of Florentine culture and politics. Ricardo, our our guide, was friendly, engaging and knowledgeable providing just enough detail to keep everyone attentive, but not too much to overwhelm. There was ample time for questions. Afterwards, our kids remarked it was 'the best' tour they had ever been on! Thank you Ricardo for a wonderful introduction to the city that built the Renaissance!

Glenda is a fabulous guide. Wealth of knowledge on the Medici dynasty, Florentine architects, painters and sculptors. Even a Dante love story. All brought to life as you walk around the streets of Firenze. Highly recommend.
