Overview
Your driver for the day will pick you up at your Florence hotel, where you'll climb into an air-conditioned private van. Set off for the town of Pisa, where you'll meet a local guide for a 2-hour tour of the city.
In Piazza dei Miracoli, you'll explore the cemetery, baptistery, and the 11th-century cathedral. Take some classic photos by the famous leaning tower and continue to Piazza dei Cavalieri, home to the graffiti-covered Palazzo della Carovana dei Cavalieri. Spend some free time wandering on your own, shopping, or sampling some cuisine at a local restaurant before departing for Lucca.
Upon arrival in Lucca, set off to explore the city's attractions independently. Peruse the shops at Piazza del Mercato or climb the Guinigi Tower.
Your tour ends with drop-off back at your hotel in Florence.

Pisa was fun. Do your homework for Lucca

Our driver Francesco was excellent. Great driver, professional, personable. Knew a lot about the area along the way. We had a terrific guide, Sylvia in Pisa who was very friendly and knowledgeable. We enjoyed our time with her. And after our tour we did the typical cheesy photos with time to spare. While our terrific driver gave us many suggestions for where to go in Lucca, since there is no guide there, I wish we had done more homework to have used our time wisely. If I did it again, I would probably rent the multi person bike and drive around the wall. Again, Francesco was a great driver and flexible allowing us to decide how much time to spend in each place and where to have lunch. Very clear with where he would meet us after each visit.
