The museum is large, beautiful and worth visiting. There is a great variety of roman art that is engrossing and a nice selection of later art.

Confusion in getting in Capitoline Museum

Once we got in to the museum it was fantastic! Getting there was another story. After asking where to enter and showing my “ticket” I was directed up an endless staircase only to find out I was in the wrong place. Down to the bottom then directed to the adjoining staircase. Once up I was told I had to get an official ticket across the street. Down again. Finally got an official ticket. There has to be a better way to do this!

The Museum itself is great however getting tickets through this particular booking was confusing and ultimately unsuccessful for us. Would recommend buying tickets directly if you have the time.
