Horrible non-experience, no refund

Odyssey306659, Apr 2026

Venue operator canceled one hour before event, totally screwing us; then they refused refund, asking twice for US to cancel it on the site. Too late for us to find a new Geisha experience before we return to USA. Very, very disappointing . . . we will NEVER use this tour nor site again . . . as Viator didn't resolve this either. We had to dispute the charges with our bank credit card to get our money back (a month later). Wishing I were a samurai, so I could just handle it!

Highlight of our trip!

lissy012018, Mar 2026

This was a one of a kind experience. Andi was a great guide. We first started out with a short walk from the meeting spot heading towards the restaurant. As we walked she gave us a lot of background information about the Geiko and Maiko. We then were greeted at the restaurant where we had dinner. Very shortly into our being seated in a private room at the restaurant a Geiko walked in. She proceeded to sit with us for most of our dinner service while we got to ask her any questions about the Geiko traditions, rules, expectations etc. We were then moved to another larger private room where she performed a couple of dances for us. We then got a chance to take pictures with her. Lastly we got to play a drinking game with her. The night was not only interesting but fun. Highly recommend this tour.

Traditional Geiko/Meiko experience

Elizabeth J, Mar 2026

Amazing experience with a real Meiko, and a wonderful meal, too! We had the opportunity to ask questions. Answer her questions, see a traditional dance, and even play a game with her! Highly recommended.
