My family thoroughly enjoyed this day excursion from Florence into the heart of Tuscany. Pisa was a must-see, but we really enjoyed San Gimignano an Siena. Lunch at Il Piccolo Castello in Monteriggioni was spectacular — try the Pici pasta! Guide Paola was outstanding, as was the driver. Bravo!

Our guide, Elena, was outstanding. She gave enough history to keep everything interesting without it being so detailed that we’d forget everything. Our teens even listened to most of what she told us which was a sign she was terrific. She was personable, took interest in us, and knew her stuff!

Best tour of the trip. Our driver was extremely friendly and fun. We felt like we spent the day with our uncle. We did everything we could possibly ask for and more. He went above and beyond taking longer ways and down extra streets to show us bonus things and tell us fun stories about what we see. Pisa was magnificent. We took a horse and carriage ride around the town and climbed to the top of the tower. San Gimignano and Siena are beautiful villages that you never want to leave. The lunch was in a spectacular restaurant over looking a tuscan Viniard where the nona cooks all the food by herself with her own two hands. The food was delicious and the wine was fantastic. We even ordered a few bottles to ship home. Fantastic day!!

San Gimignano, Unesco World Heritage Site, is a small walled medieval hill town. Known as the Town of Fine Towers, San Gimignano is famous for its medieval architecture, unique in the preservation of about a dozen of its tower houses, with its hilltop setting and encircling walls form "an unforgettable skyline".
On the way included a very good Wine Tasting with light lunch in a exclusive Farm winery located in a panoramic position on the Tuscany sweet rolling hills!
Monteriggioni is a medieval walled town, whose stone halo shines from the top of a hill, is one of the most memorable towns in all of Italy. The town stands illusion-like to travellers wishing to dive into the Middle Ages
The historic center of Siena has been declared by UNESCO a World Heritage Site. Siena is famous for its cuisine, art, museums, medieval cityscape and the Palio, a horse race held twice a year. By walking around the town you’ll be able to enjoy the main attractions from the outside.
