The trip was really interesting and enabled us to see a wide variety of Chiang Rai’s most amazing sights including the black house, the blue and white temples and goddess of mercy. The driver made us feel very safe and our guide was lovely, informative and very knowledgeable, answering all our questions. Lunch was in the most beautiful setting and very tasty. Can’t recommend this trip enough. The best way to get to know Chiang Rai and surroundings.

We had an amazing experience on the Temples of Chiang Rai tour! Our guide was fantastic—friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly accommodating. He made the entire tour so much more enjoyable with his deep understanding of the history and his fun facts about each temple. We also got to try the best local snacks along the way, which was a nice touch. The temples were absolutely breathtaking, each with its own unique beauty, and the museum was definitely worth visiting as well. We learned so much, and the whole experience felt much richer than exploring on our own. This tour is an absolute must-do when you’re in Chiang Rai! Highly recommended!

Excellent tour, we have been assisted by Addy Fox, who brought valuable information about the temples as well as the local culture and how they connect to the local habits

First of all, our guide was fun and informative. She also was an ace at picture-taking. The White Temple was gorgeous - sparkling white. The Chinese Lady temple (can’t remember the name) was fun because you got to peek out of her eyes. The Blue Temple was pretty but I thought maybe a bit overdone with the blue. It seemed an obvious attempt to attract tourists. And the last artist’s museum was not my style. But overall, we really enjoyed our day and our guide’s efforts to entertain and inform us.
Wat Rong Khun is a contemporary temple built by the famous Thai artist, Chalermchai Kositpipat who had renovated an old temple into one of the most outstanding temples in Thailand. Wat Rong Khun has it's unique white color and beautiful sculptures of the mythical creatures that tell the story following the Buddha's teaching.
Over and out towards Chiang Rai City, we will visit Wat Rong Suea Ten or the Blue Temple. Built by the former student of Chalermchai Kositpipat, the temple design and architecture gives out the reminiscent of the white temple.
The Black House or Black House Museum is a group of 36 black houses that boast the design style of Lanna (Ancient Northern Kingdom). The National Artist, Thawan Duchanee built it. As these houses' purpose is not for resident, each contains collections of beautiful and detail art pieces and craftwork.
Wat Huay Pla Kung. Discover the Chiang Rai's biggest statue of the Goddess of Mercy and the dignified Nagas and Dragons that protects the area. The temple features the 9 story pagoda, which has derived its name, "9-tier Temple".
