I’ve been wanting to go to this museum for decades - shouldn’t have bothered. Stick to the other museums and galleries. I saw half a dozen works of art here I thought were wonderful, but so much here that was disappointing and did little for me. I enjoy so much of modern art, but much of this was vacuous, pretentious and rather uninspiring.

The 45-minute film “Drama 1882” purchased by the Stedelijk (entry Venice Biennale 2024 in the Egyptian Pavilion was great. The programming of the Stedelijk is always very innovative and socially involved.

Price was okay and what touched me was the free ticket for children. Inside was very nice and meaningful, very pleasant for small children.

Some modern art that needs getting used to and explaining. Were there at 10:00, came in quickly with a pre-booked ticket. The free audio guide will explain this. The paintings etc. were the best liked at the beginning of the tour.
Come and see iconic works by, amongst others, Vincent van Gogh, Marc Chagall, Piet Mondrian, Yayoi Kusama, Andy Warhol, Marlene Dumas, Henri Matisse, Jackson Pollock, Gerrit Rietveld and Charley Toorop.
The collection, organized thematically and in a loose chronology, emphasizes that art and design develop alongside social movements.
