We had such a great afternoon on the guided tour around Shrewsbury Prison, and a big thank you to our guide Sarah! Her knowledge of the prison’s history was incredible, and she brought everything to life with brilliant storytelling. The way she delivered the tour kept everyone engaged from start to finish, informative, entertaining, and full of fascinating details we would never have discovered on our own. Sarah’s passion really made the experience special. Highly recommended if you’re visiting.

I joined a tour led by a retired prison officer and ex RAF dog handler called Malcolm for a group of students from Shrewsbury College. He made it interesting and fun for them which both educated and entertained them. Thank you Malcolm for a day to remember!

We did the guided tour and escape room today with a home educational group. It was amazing, the tour itself was fantastic and we learnt a lot. Sara our tour guide was amazing she kept everyone engaged throughout and was extremely knowledgeable. The escape room was great and everyone really enjoyed it. All staff we came across were approachable, friendly and polite. Would definitely say this is a must do!!

We found this tour by Malcolm very informative. He was very knowledgeable and provided lots of details about the history and the process of the prison. He made the tour enjoyable and answered all the questions. We then had time to explore further at our own leisure and did not feel like we had to rush or leave after the tour was over. We highly recommend the guided tour as this provided added information which may not of been realised on a self guided tour. We would certainly go back.
