Overview

Cape Anne is the best

Amazing experience. I found this much more enjoyable than the whale watching trip we had taken in Maine. The boat was able to get to the whaling grounds quickly so we spent a lot of time observing whales rather than motoring. 5 stars.

My 23yo daughter and I took a road trip up the east coast to Maine. One bucket list item was a Whale Watching Tour, so I researchd many tours and read dozens of reviews. Cape Ann Whale Watch got my attention because they were family-owned and operated for many years and had great reviews. They lived up to every expectation! The crew warned us at check-in that the waters were very choppy (there was dramamine available in the gift shop at a reasonable price if needed), and they definitely were! I admit to being a little nervous about sailing, but I was put at ease quickly. The on-board naturalist was very knowledgeable and kept us informed and entertained. Despite sailing near the end of the season, the Captain found two humpbacks in the second feeding ground we visited, and we stayed with them for over an hour. It was an amazing experience. I highly recommend Cape Ann Whale Watch. We plan to return with the whole family next fall!

Last whale watch of the year and we were not disappointed. We saw many whales, and greatly benefited from the expert staff commentary and skilled captain, who maneuvered the boat so skillfully. Tasty food on board and comfortable seats inside and out. Excellent value. We will be back.

This crew is amazing. The day we went out, they were able to get in contact with 9 different whales. Great information on the whales we spotted. My wife had the best time ever.
