Overview
Give yourself the best chance of seeing whales in the wild on this half-day boat tour from Gloucester to the Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary. I highly recommend the Cape Ann whale watch trip. They are extremely organized and efficient throughout the process of parking and boarding the boat. The naturalist on the boat is fantastic. She was very knowledgeable about the whales and easily recognized them. We saw 5 different whales on our trip. It was the highlight of our vacation for our 13 year old son.

The tour guide was so informative and fun! It was lively from beginning to end. Surprisingly, we saw so many whales, Quote and Alligator who were named by the naturalists. The guide was kind to shift the boat so that the whales can be seen from both left and right side. Make sure to bring cash if you want purchase refreshments on the boat. We packed sandwiches ahead of time. It was 3 hours but it went by quickly. We even saw an ocean sun fish which was really big!
