Overview

Enjoy a leisurely lunchtime sightseeing cruise along the Potomac River and Washington DC’s beautiful waterfront. This excursion covers the Potomac River with views of DC’s great landmarks and the city's historic waterfront.

You'll travel aboard a modern dining ship, equipped with plenty of comfortable seating with large picture windows to see the sites, while the open-air deck provides an additional view of the landscape. There are also spacious dance floors and full-service bars on board.

Before or after eating, grab a drink from one of the onboard bars (own expense) and dance the afternoon away as a professional DJ spins the latest Top 40 hits.

Throughout the cruise, listen as the captain provides anecdotes and stories about the history and happenings of the nation’s capital while passing the Washington Monument, Reagan National Airport, the United States Naval Research Laboratory, Old Town Alexandria in Virginia, the Woodrow Wilson Memorial Bridge and much more.

Not what I expected

Tourist43476318180, Apr 2025

I misunderstood what the cruise was going to include. I understood it was a 2 hour lunch cruise. It also was my understanding that it was narrated about landmarks and history. That was not the case. Instead there was a DJ playing LOUD music for most of the time . I thought the food was delicious for a buffet and it was nice to be on the water but I had not idea what I was seeing (except for the obvious). The staff was amazing! Everyone was nice, willing to help, and were very attentive. But , I thought I paid ($90) for an relaxing and informational tour, which I did't completely get. Also, when I booked with Viator/Trip Advisor, I was not given the opportunity to select a window seat (which I had no idea we could opt for or that seats were assigned) and the times given were off. If you want to book a City Experience Cruise, my suggestion is to go directly to their website. I was told by them that 3rd party booking are often misleading.

Great lunch cruise

Had a yummy lunch and nice time cruising around the Potomac. Would do it again and would recommend to friends.

This wasn’t our first...

This wasn’t our first time but this particular time was the best experience we’ve ever had due to the customer service. Luther was wonderful to say the least! He greeted everyone with a smile. He was attentive, patient, and had the ability to work in a fast paced environment.

Very nice experience!

Very nice experience even though all the windows fogged up I guess due to the rainy day. Crew were lively, polite and fun! Plenty of food, music, and fun. All in all it was worth the price.
