  • Bielefeld is one of the 20 largest cities in Germany and well-known to everyone. This is where Dr Oetker comes from. But Bielefeld is much more than that. A must is of course the Sparrenburg Castle. The young university town is located on the old trade route and has a long history with the production and trade of linen. And the Alte Markt, the heart of the city, is surrounded by patrician houses with historic facades and beautiful roofs.

  • Sparrenberg Castle, also known as the Sparrenburg, is a restored fortress in the Bielefeld-Mitte district of Bielefeld, Germany. It is located on the Sparrenberg in the Teutoburg Forest and towers 60 meters above the city center.

  • Bielefeld's Old Town Hall (Altes Rathaus) is a splendid building, an administrative headquarters and the seat of the city's Lord Mayor.

  • The church dates from 1340, making it the oldest town church in Bielefeld. The most special thing about the church is the carved altar with a total of 250 figures.
