Piazza Cavour is the main square of Como with a beautiful view of the Lake. Since ever it's a meeting place for Como's people. In the past centuries it was the port of the city.
The lively square is dedicated to a very important inhabitant of Como: Alessandro Volta who invented the battery in 1799.
A very special street that takes us back to far centuries, here the time has stopped, it's the heart of the ancient medieval town, its atmosphere is really unique
During our walk I'll take you to discover this wonderful artwork, its interiors show us different artistic styles from the late XIV to the late XVII century. Its facade is a refined white marble lace which wants to tell us something and I'll tell you everything about it!

A small, cozy square another important place of the historical center, picturesque with its ancient facades and the Church of Saint Fedele that was the Cathedral for a longtime.
An imposing tower in grey stone that in the Middle Ages was the main gate to the city. The Medieval Walls that used to completely surround, close and protect Como. We walk through them to give a glance to the "modern" Como. Our visit ends here, you can decide to spend more time in this part of the city or walk back to the lake area.
