Located in the South Valley of Cusco, the Andean Baroque Route is a popular tourist circuit connecting four historic churches of the colonial period. .Andean Baroque Route. In the south corridor of Cusco, only 36 km (1 hour by car), is "The Andean Baroque Route", a tour of the emblematic churches of the colonial period. The route includes the visit to three temples that, by their exceptional qualities, have been declared patrimonial monuments of centuries XVII and XVIII:
-San Pedro Apostle of Andahuaylillas.
-San Juan Bautista de Huaro.
-The chapel of the Virgin of the Candelaria de Canincunca.
Tipon, marvel of Inca hydraulic engineering
is one of the most important pre-Inca archaeological sites in Peru, built by the Wari (Huari) civilization between 550–900 AD—long before the Incas.
It was a large administrative and ceremonial center and shows an entirely different architectural style compared to Inca sites.
