A really nice introduction to Stavanger which was carried out at an easy pace by a local guide (sorry but can't remember his name). Lots of information and stories given and all relevant to the areas we visited. We visited the old and new parts of the city and thoroughly enjoyed it.

They stood me up. I waited at the meeting point for half an hour for nothing. No one showed up.
Stavanger Cathedral, established in the 12th century, is a historic landmark in Norway's oldest city. Its Gothic architecture and centuries-old presence make it a focal point of cultural and spiritual significance. As one enters its sacred space, they are immersed in the deep-rooted history and reverence that define this venerable structure.
Old Stavanger, known as Gamle, is a historic district in Norway's Stavanger. Dating back to the 18th century, it offers a glimpse into the city's past with its well-preserved wooden houses and cobblestone streets. Visitors can explore its winding lanes and quaint squares, experiencing the charm and character of a bygone era.
The Museum of Archaeology houses artifacts and exhibits that offer insights into ancient civilizations and human history. Though primarily observed from the outside, its significance in preserving and showcasing archaeological findings remains evident. During the tour we don't enter the Museum.
Stavanger Municipality governs the affairs of Stavanger, Norway's third-largest city. Responsible for public services, infrastructure, and local regulations, it plays a pivotal role in the city's administration and development.
There are a few more stops along the way, but we’ll keep those as a surprise to make your experience even more special.
