Andrea contacted us on the day with clear meeting instructions. Her knowledge of Stavanger, its history going back to the ice age, changes over time, it's key influencers and how it has become the place that it is today made our walking tour very enjoyable. We cannot thank her enough for such an enjoyable and informative experience!

We had a brilliant time on this two‑hour walking tour of Stavanger. Our guide, Andrea, was friendly, knowledgeable, and spoke excellent English, which made the whole experience feel relaxed and engaging. The route is really well thought out: starting at the Alexander Kielland statue, looping around the lake, weaving up through the charming old town, and finishing along the port outside the Petrochemical Museum. Along the way, Andrea shared fascinating insights into the history and culture of the local area - perfect for anyone who enjoys learning more about the places they visit. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and would happily recommend it to others. A great way to get to know more about Stavanger and Norway.

A wonderful tour in the historical center of Stavanger. Our guide Andrea tailored the experience to our interests, including tidbits of Norwegian words and fun facts. One warning, the weather in this part of Norway can be unpredictable. Look out for the forecast and dress accordingly.

Minimal walking to sites one could easily find alone….sadly guided by a Spaniard, who could tell us little of Norwegian life, & not even aware of the popularity of saunas ; indeed she did not understand the word sauna. On the plus side she was ‘trying hard’ & went over the allotted 2 hrs. Too little walking & too cold to stand around.
Stavanger Cathedral, established in the 12th century, is a historic landmark in Norway's oldest city. Its Gothic architecture and centuries-old presence make it a focal point of cultural and spiritual significance. As one enters its sacred space, they are immersed in the deep-rooted history and reverence that define this venerable structure.
Old Stavanger, known as Gamle, is a historic district in Norway's Stavanger. Dating back to the 18th century, it offers a glimpse into the city's past with its well-preserved wooden houses and cobblestone streets. Visitors can explore its winding lanes and quaint squares, experiencing the charm and character of a bygone era.
The Museum of Archaeology houses artifacts and exhibits that offer insights into ancient civilizations and human history. Though primarily observed from the outside, its significance in preserving and showcasing archaeological findings remains evident. During the tour we don't enter the Museum.
Stavanger Municipality governs the affairs of Stavanger, Norway's third-largest city. Responsible for public services, infrastructure, and local regulations, it plays a pivotal role in the city's administration and development.
There are a few more stops along the way, but we’ll keep those as a surprise to make your experience even more special.
