I really enjoyed not waiting in the very long line for general admission. Our guide was very knowledgeable, personable, and super funny. Plus he loves what he does and you can really feel the passion and respect for the artists and artisans of the past. The only reason this was not a 5 star review is I felt really rushed. We spent about 10 minutes total in the cathedral museum and I could have used about 30 more added to the total tour.

Yes it's a workout but just consider it burning off lunch calories! Joking aside, if you're travelling with someone who is not in good health then don't climb to the top. Be prepared for steep, narrow staircases. However, the views are worth it. Luckily there are different breakout stops so if you decide the entire climb is not for you then you can head back down. I enjoyed it and got some great pics!

The climb is worth every step! The view of the dome is excellent and your pictures will be amazing! The dome may be booked, but you won’t mind because you got pictures of it at eye level from the tower. Do it!!!
