Verona is best known as the setting for Shakespeare’s play, Romeo and Juliet, but it also has a complex history on par with any Italian city. This tour offers a unique way to learn about the darker sides of Verona’s past while taking a guided walk through its historic center. The goal is to make visitors step back in time and learn about the notorious murders, torture stories, family tombs, and beheaded skeletons of one of the world’s most romantic towns.

Such a great tour and worth it during your stay in Verona! Maria was excellent and she provided us with information, history, and small hidden gems about Verona that we would not have known otherwise. Very knowledgeable, fun, and loved hearing all the stories!

Fun and informative walking tour in Verona. Our guide (sorry, I forgot her name!) was lively and enthusiastic, which made for an engaging walk through the central part of Verona while she shared interesting stories and local history, ranging from Romeo and Juliet to a few darker stories!
