What is not to like walking through the town of Cortona? It is a place steeped in history with beautiful surroundings. Our tour guide Catia was excellent. She was extremely knowledgeable of the history of the area and her personable approach, enthusiasm and sense of humour made it easy to interact to convey this information. We learned a lot about Cortona during our tour. The one on one personal aspect of the tour was also greatly appreciated . Highly recommended.

Catia was an amazing tour guide. She was very knowledgeable and informative. I enjoyed the way she informed me which architecture was from the estrucan, medieval, or renaissance times. She was especially informative regarding the Saints who formed the various churches in Cortona.

Thank you so much Gary! Catia will be so happy to read your amazing review! :)
The co-cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta is the main Romanesque-style Catholic place of worship in Cortona
Piazza Signorelli is the centerpiece of Cortona and one of the places where historic buildings and architecture of great value are concentrated.
Palazzo Casali is located in Piazza Signorelli and hosts some cultural institutions of Cortona such as the MAEC and the Historical Archive.
The Church of San Francesco is one of the main places of worship in the Tuscan village. This church was built in the mid-thirteenth century in honor of the Poverello of Assisi and his long stays in the city. The architectural form recalls the typical Franciscan style, and inside you can admire works by illustrious artists.
The path to the center of Cortona will lead us through its historical core, making you discover the most important historical and artistic beauties of the city, the museums, the walls and the buildings, in an exciting journey that will take you back over the centuries. This itinerary is not particularly demanding and is suitable for the whole family.
