Overview

The performers were good....

The performers were good. The food was horrible. Perhaps the show without food would be a better option. The shuttle service arrived 45 min late.

I bought a ticket to this show on this website and only after it was confirmed (the site “checked availability” and then took my money and sent me a confirmation of booking), did someone then email to say there was no space for me. I’ve asked for a refund/reschedule and have been ignored the last 36hrs and I’m about to leave BA. Incredibly frustrating.

Indeed, it is always a little risky to book for the same day and on a Saturday, Catulo Tango didn’t have more ticket that night. So we offered you another date and finally refunded you. This Tango show came recommended by a local guide, so we decided to book a night of dinner and a tango show. The booking process was easy and pain free, good start. Notification of pick up time was received, another good point. However on the night of the show, the disaster starts! The email advising pick up 'from' 7:30pm should have said, "Some time after 7.30pm & hopefully before 9pm??", depending on how many other pickups the driver had. We missed out on decent seating because we arrived 35mins before the show started, we were the last mini bus to arrive. So we are delivered late, we are then rushed to seating that was 6 tables away from the stage. The set menu food was bland, flavourless and less than warm. The white wine offered tasted like vinger. The waiting staff are not equipped to serve English speaking attendees. Which I found very odd, as our nationality was known from our booking. Why bother to advertise for english speaking customers if you don't want to look after them like all other paying customers? The Tango dancers were very good, which was the only good thing about the whole fiasco. I would not recommend this Tango show to anyone I know. Jodie and Wayne from Wellington City New Zealand

Dear Wayne and Jodie, We are very sorry to hear that the tour didn’t meet your expectations. As confirmed by email, we indicated you that the pick-up was from 7.30 pm. Indeed, the driver usually arrives from 7.30 pm to 8.30 pm, depending on traffic conditions, as it is a group service. After checking, your were picked-up at 8.30 pm, so you arrived to Catulo Tango before 9pm, with more than 1 hour to enjoy the dinner before the show. It is the first time we receive a complaint regarding the quality of the food and the wine, we already advised Catulo Tango so they can see if something went wrong that night, in order to improve their services. We are glad, though,that you liked the tango show, which is the main attraction of the night. Thank you for your review, it always helps us to improve our services. Best regards,

<p>The show were most enjoyable and included not only Tango scenes but also singing and comedy. The atmosphere had a personal touch, the food was plentiful and good , and the orchestra pulled it all together masterfully.</p>

You will enjoy one of the best Tango experience in Buenos Aires at the Catulo tango Show, takes place at Abasto, Gardel’s neighborhood and it involves ten dancers, a sextet and three singers who together give life to a great conceptual spectacle of dance, music, singing, color and sensuality.
The show presents a precise thematic implementation where the best tango tradition interacts, classic tango, with modern tango and the multimedia entertainment. Cátulo Tango offers an excellent artistic production of an hour and a quarter of a length.
You can choose between the following options:
-Show only: Access to the show. Does not include meals, drinks or transfers.
-Dinner Show Menu Porteño: 1 glass of wine or 1 glass of beer or 1 soft drink +2 empanadas + individual pizza.
-VIP Show Dinner: 3 courses (appetizer, main course and dessert). Pick up/drop off at centrally located hotels. Preferred location.
