Wow! A Great Day at the Art Museum with the best tour guide!

Spiro D was the best! He was funny and engaging. He elicited questions and made information understandable. He has a great range of knowledge, and he included social, political, and economic history as well as art history. He gave some art theory which was over my head, but I’m glad he did. Maybe I soaked up a little of it! Everyone (6 of us) enjoyed his tour and would search him out in the future!

Our guide, Heath, was friendly and knowledgeable. He provided a brief history of the development of different phases and schools of art that helped us appreciate all the more the wonderful permanent collection at the Art Institute. Even if you've visited the Institute before, as I had many times, the guided tour is well worth it. Highly recommend.

Spiro was an excellent guide. Extremely informative. He knew the museum very well, and was able to do a deep dive into the historical context of the works and to compare and contrast them.
