Food tour with Garen

Me and my friends did this food tour on our first day in Taipei, which was an excellent choice for several reasons. We learned a ton about Taiwanese cuisine, what dishes to try during our trip, and practical tips for ordering food (e.g. using the character 正 when writing down how many orders you want of something, which came in so handy during our trip). Garen, our wonderful guide, also shared a lot about Taiwanese culture and history and we really enjoyed being able to ask her lots of questions. It gave us an understanding of Taiwan that enriched the rest of our vacation. But of course the best part of this tour were all the amazing foods we got to try. Several of us being vegetarian was not a problem and Garen took us to lots incredible places. She's such a lovely person and we'd recommend anyone to do this tour with her!

You will have an opportunity to taste many different Taiwanese foods and enjoy a great guide in Jones. Jones has great humor and was wonderful with our 9 and 11 year old boys. It was a wonderful experience.

Such a fun and worthwhile experience. Garen made for an incredible host taking us around, providing us with so many insights about Taipei, Taiwan, and the street we were on. If I recall correctly, we had 4-5 different dishes and loved every bite. I would highly recommend this tour and Garen.
