This small-group tapas bar tour is perfect for those hoping to discover the “real” Granada. After meeting your guide at the Plaza de Isabel La Catolica, head to several different tapas bars, picked to match the unique tastes of each tour group. Not limited to the city center, the tour is focused on discovering hidden locations—from the narrow streets of the Albayzin district to the Granada city caves.

It provided us with lots of options for different types of food and drinks throughout the city centre. We were taken to places that we probably wouldn’t have explored. Grego was informative about the history of each bar that we visited.

The great thing (and there are many) about Granada is the tradition of offering a free tapas with every alcoholic drink served. Challenge is to find the best places to experience good, local cuisine. Some bars/restaurants have great atmosphere but poor food. The solution is to book a tour with someone with insider knowledge. There were only three of us on the tour - fellow tour member from Hawaii posted an earlier review. All credit to our guide who took us on an amazing three hour tour. Others may have cancelled due to low number. Amongst the best were Bar Mitico, Taberna Granados and Bar Avila. Our guide asked for our likes and dislikes and set the tasting course based on our votes. To be honest, we were just happy to find the secret tapas bars. As always, they were full of locals and not aimed at tourists. A glance from outside may not have tempted you inside. We took it in turns to buy a round of drinks so a very fair way to operate. Also tried some unusual drinks, one of which was sherry and sprite. Think it was called Rebujito. Sherry is definitely not just for your Nanna. Great insight; value and company.

There were 3 of us in the group plus our guide( Hungarian Spanish resident!) We visited 4 very different tapas bars regarding food and ambience. We followed our guide's recommendations and tried dishes we normally would not have chosen. The food is included in the price. Drinks you pay for, but they work out around 4 euros per drink per bar, so minimal. Different drinks were also recommended and tried - so mixes of sherry with lemonade, sangria, a tomato gaspachio, like an alcohol free bloody mary and a 'shot' mix of wines/ spirits were all tried. My favourite tapas were dogfish in a light batter with lemon juice and roast pork sliced on roast were divine. Also noteworthy was black pudding cold cuts and tripe. The latter done in tomato sauce and chickpeas. I usually would have never tried tripe!! Definitely recommend.

Great evening with wine and tapas. Very special and local hidden tapas bars. Great guide with a lot of knowledge about local food and wine.
We will meet here with our guests. From this central location we start our tour across the city. I can not tell you the other stops during our tours because they are chosen specifically for the groups we have for that day. What we can guarantee is that you will see hidden and less known places which can show the true side of Granada to anyone visiting.
As our tours are specialized we are taking people to different parts of the city. We do not have one specific route, as it is based on the wishes of our groups.
