You might be tempted to do this as a self guided tour, but I highly recommend you do it with a guide who can provide so much more context than just looking at the exhibits and reading. We were lucky enough to get Steve, who is a true historian. He gave so many anecdotes and stories through his own research. Going back 35 years. I feel so privileged to have done this tour with Steve. I highly recommend this tour! You might think you know a lot about this chapter of history, but I guarantee you will learn more. Also, you don’t have to worry about getting there because that’s all worked out for you perfectly.

First of all, doing this experience with a guide vs doing it as a self-guided tour is something I definitely recommend! The exhibits are well done, and I see people walking around with their headsets and taking it all in, but doing it with a guide gives you a much more in depth experience and understanding. I also want to say that Steve is the most knowledgeable guide I’ve ever had. He’s a true historian, having researched this subject for 35 years, and doing guided tours for 20 years. He has had personal experiences with liberators, survivors and family members of those groups. He was able to give so many anecdotes from these interactions. I feel very privileged to have had a tour with him. I will remember this tour, because of him, for my whole life. I also recommend the 3rd Reich tour. If you think you know a lot about this chapter of history, I guarantee you will learn more!
