I was in Bordeaux for a weekend for a friend's wedding so I was looking for a quick way to explore the city and I absolutely love food tours. This was a great way to quickly try different foods I wouldn't have considered otherwise. I ended up returning to the chocolate and cheese place with my friends to pick up some cheese to bring home. The wine tasting was also interesting since it happened in a tiny shop, I wished there was a little more variety there. I'd recommend this tour to anyone interested in trying out what Bordeaux has to offer besides wine.

When looking for the location of this tour from the app, it defaulted to the end point and not the starting point which seemed counterintuitive and no directions for the starting point were listed. When I tried to contact the tour operator from the app, I got no response. I then called Viator directly and was put on hold for 19 minutes and told the tour operator would reach out to me later in the day via email. I was told I could rebook my tour but unfortunately nothing was actually available for the remaining time I was in Bordeaux. I’m still waiting to see if I can at least get a credit for another tour at a later time.

Thank you for your feedback, Linda. We're very sorry for the confusion regarding the meeting point and the difficulty you had reaching us. We understand how frustrating that must have been. The tour did go ahead as scheduled, so we’re unable to offer a refund. Since your booking was made through Viator, we recommend reaching out to them directly regarding any issues with their app and communication process. If there’s anything else we can assist with, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Best regards, Samantha.

Excellent guide Alexandra. She has a lot of Bordeaux knowledge and is passionate about the city and the food in it. The itinerary was great with an emphasis on small family-run non~touristy spots and the food was uniformly delicious!!
