You can explore Trieste in many ways. One option is an excursion from the sea to the Karst: we’ll ride the historic tram, then walk six kilometers along the scenic Via Napoleonica, passing through Prosecco and reaching Miramare Castle before returning by bus. You can also choose a two-hour city tour of Trieste’s main attractions, or a local experience focused on hidden gems, available only on Saturdays. An unforgettable experience

We booked this tour during our short stay in Trieste. We were looking for something different from the usual tour of the city center and so we chose the tour of the Prosecco vineyards. The bus ride to the meeting point alone offered spectacular views. Upon arrival Matteo greeted us offering us a typical cake of the city, maps and brochures useful to be able to discover Trieste. The walk through the vineyards and the woods was suggestive and very romantic, at the end the Prosecco tasting was truly unique: we stopped in a hidden spot with a view of the entire breathtaking gulf. In addition, Matteo captured the best moments with his drone (all included in the tour). If anyone wants to visit a hidden part of Trieste I highly recommend this tour, you will not be disappointed.

I had the pleasure of exploring Trieste with Matteo as my guide, and it was the highlight of my trip. He combined deep knowledge with a warm, friendly approach, showing me not only the city’s main landmarks but also hidden gems and fascinating stories I would have never discovered on my own. Matteo made the tour engaging, fun, and truly memorable. I highly recommend him to anyone visiting Trieste!
Best Tour Ever

If we could give this 6 stars we would.!! We weren't sure what we wanted to see besides experiencing outside the tourist section. He had multiple ideas and took us on a walking tour up above Trieste to Prosecco village and down to Miramare Castle. It was breathtaking to say the least. He brought us all the tickets we needed had it planned perfect, had water in case we need and multiple maps of all the things to see in the city. Throughout the day he provided amazing history and context. He also knew the best picture spots and even had a drone! Absolutely one of the best tours ever taken!
Itinerary
Belvedere Obelisco di Opicina
The first tour is a four-and-a-half-hour walking excursion (1) from the sea to the Karst and back. We'll start by taking the historic tram, then walk 11 km along the scenic "Via Napoleonica," passing through the village of Prosecco and continuing to Miramare Castle, returning to Trieste by ferry. The price includes tram and ferry tickets, panoramic views, hidden trails, and drone photos at the most breathtaking spots.
We will meet in Piazza Dalmazia, right by the Opicina tram stop. I will be wearing a red hat for easy identification.
Please note: this tour involves a considerable amount of walking, comfortable shoes and a reasonable level of fitness are recommended. (160€)

The second tour is a classic two-hour city tour (2) covering the main attractions in the historic center (60€). We will meet in front of Palazzo Costanzi, behind Piazza Unità. I will be wearing a red hat for easy identification.
5 minutesPiazza Venezia
The third is a more local experience (3) that reveals the city’s hidden gems and lesser-known corners(70€). This tour (2 hours) is only available on Wednesday and Sunday from 10 AM to 12 PM, as the Early Christian Basilica is open to the public exclusively during this time, or on Saturday (10-12) if you prefer to visit the Antiquarium. We will meet in Piazza Venezia. I will be wearing a red hat for easy identification.
