Great Girona tour

Karen_R, Oct 2024

This was a great overview of the history of Girona capped off by a delicious dinner of local tapas specialties. Miguel is passionate about the history of his hometown and he is also so knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend this tour!

The best guide to Girona

amilia62, May 2024

This was a great tour that gave an insight into the history of Girona. Our guide Júlia was an excellent guide who could answer all our questions of history and life today. We had a fantastic evening and chatted away over the great food that kept coming in. Júlia also explained the traditions and how the foods are made. We were very happy when Júlia showed us to a special restaurant for a nightcap, long after her workingday was over.

A great walking tour

Lilygontard, Oct 2022

We had a wonderful walking tour. Our guide Monica Berta was friendly and knowledgeable. The walk was easy and rounded out with a tapas tasting and wine or beer at the end in a restaurant in the old city. We were a small group of six which I think gave us a really good experience, too. Great way to see Girona and get an understanding of the history.

Itinerary

  • Catedral de Girona

You will see the building from the outside, we do not go inside and your guide will explain its architecture, its history and what is inside. This way they will have all the information and they will be able to decide if they want to visit it at another time on their own.

  • El Cul de la lleona

The guide will explain what they have to do if they want to return to Girona! This statue represents one of our most popular legends!

    10 minutes
  • Arab Baths

The guide will explain the history, its architecture and its curiosities. Why are they called Arab Baths if they are not Arab? Discover this mystery...

  • The Museum of Jewish History

They will visit the Jewish Quarter of Girona, one of the best preserved from the Middle Ages in Europe. Discover its beautiful corners and alleys. We did not enter the Jewish Museum, but this place deserves a deep explanation since it was one of the 3 Synagogues that Girona had in the Middle Ages.

  • Passeig de la Muralla

Fully walled city in the middle ages. Today we have a kilometer of them left. We will see the different periods of its construction and we will climb one of its towers to see the city from its roofs.

    20 minutes
  • Rambla De La Llibertad

We will walk along this magnificent boulevard next to the Onyar River and its Bridges.

    10 minutes
  • Eiffel Bridge (Pont de les Peixateries Velles)

Designed by Gustave Eiffel, it is one of the treasures that will surprise you in Girona city.

    10 minutes
  • Placa de la Independencia

One of the busiest squares in the Old Quarter of Girona. Famous for its arcades where you can find terraces of very lively bars and restaurants!

    10 minutes
  • El Foment Tavern, where you will taste a selection of the best local products from this area. They will be able to try our cheeses, sausages and other seasonal products. You can also try our typical desserts such as "el Xuixo". All accompanied by Designation of Origin Empordà wine. Our best wines or beer or water if you prefer.
