Overview

Lots of sweat, howls of spicy pleasure and tasty treats are some of the things you'll experience when you dine on China's spicy foods.China has numerous regional cuisines but the spiciest dishes are from Sichuan, Hunan, Chongqing, Guizhou and Yunnan.

Food is always the quickest way to get acquainted with a culture, but the food here takes on its very own distinct flavor that can’t be found anywhere else.

Small group - makes it more personalized .

generous portion - make sure you are full.

A Great Way to Experience the Delicious Side of Shanghai

Matthew_P, Apr 2024

An incredible and enjoyable evening exploring the Former French Concession and eating my way through some great restaurants in Shanghai that I never would have stumbled upon without this tour. Jane is an awesome host and I would highly recommend this tour. I absolutely loved each dish and this was a highlight of my time in Shanghai. Two thumbs way up!

Unique spicy food tour!

This tour was different from every other food tour I’ve done on Viator and it was awesome! Libby was a great guide and took me to places I never would’ve found or walked into on my own. The spice level was perfect and some of them were new spices I haven’t felt before. I would definitely recommend this tour to spicy food lovers!

Highly recommended if you like it hot

A fantastic tour of Shanghai’s food scene with a wonderful guide. While getting to try some amazing food I loved but would never try on my own (I won’t ruin the surprise), I really enjoyed the company and conversation. Libby knows so much about Shanghai’s food scene and her warmth and passion shines through. Highly recommended!
