Had a great time on the Cape Sounion tour yesterday. Our guide, Danae, was outstanding – super knowledgeable, engaging, and struck the perfect balance between humor and history. She made the experience both fun and insightful. Highly recommend, especially if you get Danae!

We were in Athens which was quite a drive for the tour, but it was worth it. Made several pit stops along the way and lunch, it was all great. The views along the drive were awesome once we got through the city, if your going to delphi this is the way to go.

The tour guide did an awesome job highlighting the more important points of Delphi ruins and the artifacts in the museum. The lunch was very good

I save you the troubles - don’t book this tour! It is a completely rip off. Bus never showed and no communication from the agency. Waste of money, but mostly waste of time and excitement.

Thebes is a town in central Greece which has been continuously inhabited for five millennia. It was an important Mycenaean centre in the middle to late Bronze Age and was a powerful city-state in the Classical period, participating in both the Persian and Peloponnesian Wars, reaching its peak of influence in the early 4th century BCE when it was the most powerful city in Greece.
Arachova is a mountainous village nestling picturesquely at the foot of Mt. Parnassos in Viotia, Southern Greece. It is the most cosmopolitan winter destination in Greece, a great favourite for passionate ski lovers and celebrities, or just first-time visitors who wish to relax in a dreamy mountainous setting with modern tourism facilities.
The Delphic landscape of Central Greece and the archaeological site (easily amongst the most important archaeological sites in Greece and a Unesco World Heritage Monument since 1972) are a gift to humanity. In Delphi, you will bow to what men and nature made together, a creation beyond place and time. And you’ll discover your deeper self as the power of human potential and divine energy resonate within you.
The Temple of Apollo in Delphi was a religious complex dating back to the 4th century BC.
The city was considered to be the center of the world by the ancient Greeks, who considered the site to be one of the holiest sanctuaries.
In fact, Delphi was home to the seat of Pythia, the oracle who was consulted about important decisions throughout the ancient classical world.
The temple was built on the remains of an earlier temple, erected in the 6th century BC, which in turn was erected in the same position as another of the 7th century BC.
It survived until 390 CE when the Christian emperor Theodosius I silenced the oracle with the destruction of the temple and most of the statues and works of art in the name of Christianity.
The Archaeological Museum of Delphi presents the history of the famous Delphic sanctuary and the most prominent Oracle of the ancient Greek world. The collection of the museum presents some of the most important works of ancient Greek art, covering the period from the 2nd millennium BC, before the foundation of the Sanctuary, until Late Antiquity, when a small Christian community was established in Delphi.
