Come on a walking tour of Bucharest with Tamar! A light and funny tour, in which you will discover the must-see sites of Bucharest. Together we will hear some history, absorb some culture and architecture, and experience Bucharest up close.

The tour is given to you by me - Tamar - the only Israeli guide in the Bitrip group. I am 28 years old, live in the city center, breathe and live Bucharest, and I can tell you for sure - there is always something to do here! At first it seems that the city is quite quiet, but in Bucharest you just have to know where to look. This is where I come into the picture

    See the statue of Romania's first king, Carol I, the former Royal Palace and the impressive University Library and find out all about the incredible story of monarchy in this country.

  • In the imposing Revolution Square you will understand the harsh communism oppression and how much control the totalitarian regime exercised over the locals’ lives. Tales of incredible evolution and achievements, but also about hunger and food rations will be told, topped by images from those times, for a more dramatic effect.

    Take a stroll down on Bucharest's historical street and uncover some of the most superb buildings in the French style.

  • Stop by the oldest cake shop in Bucharest and delight in the most famous chocolate cake in local history.

    Discover the eclectic mix of buildings like the National Bank of Romania, the Stavropoleos Monastery and the Villacrosse Passage, while being charmed by the lively atmosphere in this quarter.

    We will walk on the footsteps of the most gruesome character in history – Vlad Dracula and see where he had one of his forgotten fortresses.

    In the nearby caravanserai, Manuc’s Inn, learn how Bucharest evolved at the merger between two different worlds: the East and the West.
