Boston boasts some of the best pizza in America, with hundreds of pizzerias to choose from, including more than 50 along the narrow cobblestone streets of Boston’s Little Italy. Meet your pizza expert in the city’s historic North End neighborhood for a Boston pizza tour that not only tantalizes the taste buds but also teaches a history lesson along the way.
Visit some of Boston’s most historic neighborhoods—like Beacon Hill, the Blackstone Block, the North End, and Charlestown—along the Freedom Trail, a route that leads to 16 historically significant sites. Learn about Paul Revere House, the oldest remaining structure in downtown Boston and home to Paul Revere and his family in the 1700s. See sites like Old North Church, which played a dramatic role in the American Revolution, and the USS Constitution, aka Old Ironsides, the oldest commissioned warship afloat.
Then there’s the pizza that Boston’s Little Italy has become famous for. Visit a few pizzerias and enjoy a slice at each.

The tour guide was knowledgeable, entertaining, and provided interesting information. However, the pizza was disappointing. It was a plain cheese pizza, and they should at least offer one topping. On the bright side, the cannoli from Modern Pastry was delicious.

There were 6 adults & one child in our tour group. Our guide was friendly & knew the points of interest & history well. The pizza stops were well placed throughout the tour & the cannoli at the end was delicious. The pizza selections were fresh & hot, however variety was lacking. We were offered pepperoni or cheese at one location and only cheese at the other locations. The restaurants we visited were busy so seating for our group was difficult. Our last stop found us standing outside eating our pizza slice & cannoli. Lastly, our tour guide had a good sense of humor but used numerous swear words during our tour. This was unprofessional and inappropriate with a child in our group.

During our North End Pizza Tour, we normally taste cheese slices only, to compare and contrast the many different pizza-styles that Boston's North End has to offer. Stops on tour do rotate, but you may taste a Sicilian square, Neapolitan, NY thin, bakery-style, etc; all award-winning, all delicious. The Tour Guide will be spoken to about the foul language used, but we are happy to hear that you did enjoy the pizza and history.

Big Al was a great tour guide. It was a really fun, entertaining and informative experience. The pizza was delicious, and Al gave us great recommendations for the rest of our trip.

Pizza was great and Alvin was a font of knowledge of North End history. I highly recommend this tour and will do it again with friends next time I’m in Boston.
