One of the main square and where the City Hall is in a former convent.
The old town of Ibiza was founded by the Phoenicians, so it almost is 3 millenia old. It is located on the Puig de Vila hill, and is surrounded by the imposing UNESCO World Heritage Site walls, some of the best preserved walls and bastions in the world.
The castle of Ibiza is under works in order to become the first Parador Nacional hotel in the Balearic islands. On your way here, you will be pass through several well preserved bullwarks:
- Saint Jordi's bulwark, from which you can see the Puig des Molins necropolis.
- Saint Bernat's bulwark, with a view over den Bossa beach.
- Santa Llucia's bulwark.
Next to the main square of Ibiza, you can see the Patio de Armas (parade ground), Sa Carrossa street, Isidoro Macabich's statue, or the Ses Taulas gate. It is next to the marina.
The old market of Ibiza, at the core of the old town. Admire the Portal de Ses Taules gate, the main access to the Dalt Vila.
Through narrow streets, you will arrive the cathedral's squar. Overlooking the entire city from the top of Dalt Vila, the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Snows is the principal church and cathedral of the City of Ibiza.
Outside the walls, there is the port area, one of the neighboordhood with most life in Ibiza.
