Glasgow tour

rinnie0421, Apr 2025

This walking tour is a must for anyone wanting to learn about this wonderful city. Johnny was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about sharing facts, stories, places to eat and drink and fun tidbits (the statues with the cones on their heads!) with us. He also took the time to learn more about each of us and was very engaging. Though it was cold and kind of rainy at the beginning of the tour, Johnny kept our interest and the time flew by.

Johnny was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about Glasgow. He answered all of our questions and had a true passion for Glasgow. I loved all the unique places he took us to and felt we got a true taste of the city. Strongly recommend this walking tour.

The best thing you will do in Glasgow

MrNile, Apr 2025

Really excellent tour. Johnny was warm, witty and incredibly knowledgeable. The three hours flew by and were jam packed with stories, humour, insights and information. It was the perfect way to get a solid grounding in the city and tons of insider's tips on what to do and where to go.

Passionate About Glasgow

Johnny provided a stimulating and humorous commentary. He took us to the main places and other authentic gems off the beaten track. He was committed to providing valuable comprehensive information (emailing this afterwards). A thoroughly enjoyable tour! Thank you

    10 minutes
  • Tolbooth Steeple

Beneath the glorious 17th century Tolbooth Steeple (where the Trongate, the Saltmarket, London Road, the Gallowgate and High Street meet), encounter the eye-popping history of Old Glasgow at its epicentre -- Glasgow Cross.

    10 minutes
  • St. Mungo at High Street

See Glasgow's most famous son hiding in plain sight: one of the best pieces of street art you'll ever see.

  • Glasgow Cathedral

Glasgow's architectural pinnacle -- our medieval, Scottish Gothic cathedral, with the dramatic backdrop of Victorian Glasgow's 'city of the dead', the Necropolis, behind. (Depending on COVID restrictions on group size and mask-wearing inside the cathedral, the tour may finish outside the church.)
