We turned up at the meeting point but the guide didn't. This was very annoying as the meeting point was not somewhere we would have visited and it affected how much we could do on our one day in Berlin. There was also a problem getting a refund. I would advise you to book with a different tour operator - perhaps one that advertises that they never cancel.

Berlin - Original City Walking Tour This was my first visit to Berlin and I wanted to make the most of it while actually learning about the history of the city. I have participated in these free city walking tours in Vienna and Stockholm and have enjoyed them, but Anna and Berlin truly raised the bar to the next level!!! The tour is 3.5 hours and Anna kept us moving the entire time around the city, hitting highlights and offering insightful history, humor, and inclusivity as we walked. It was a very, very cold day and she checked on each of us throughout the time together to make sure we were okay. She asked us questions, kept us engaged, inquired as to our observations and interests, and ensured that we would learn things together. Part of her charm was the fact that she herself was very deeply interested in the topics she was discussing and very direct in telling the history of a very old city with a dark past. Brava, Anna! A few things to note as a participant. These tours are only free in theory, please bring CASH and plan to TIP generously. Also, plan to stay with the group the entire time. It’s rude to just disappear; if you need to leave, inform the tour guide. Finally, be sure to dress for the weather! There is a short break roughly halfway through the tour; we stopped briefly at one of the Christmas Markets, which was a bonus! Overall, I highly recommend this tour. You see most of the main highlights of the city, you hear interesting information, facts, & anecdotes throughout the entire tour, and, at least with Anna at the helm, you are actively learning as you go!

Toni was knowledgeable, interesting anecdotes and history was told well and engagingly. He took us to great spots and definitely added a level of extra value we wouldn’t have got self guided.
