Itinerary

  • Edinburgh

We will leave from Edinburgh towards Loch Ness. When passing through Stirling, from the bus, we will see the impressive silhouette of Stirling Castle and the William Walace Monument. We will cross the National Park of Los Trossachs and, after crossing Callander, we will make a stop at the beginning of the National Park of Lake Lomond and the Trossachs: Kilmahog. Maybe you'll be lucky to see some of the nice cows of the Highlands!

  • Kilmahog

Between landscapes of mountains, lakes and valleys, we will arrive at the Páramo de Rannoch. We will stop in one of the most beautiful and magical valleys of Scotland: the Glencoe Valley, where one of the bloodiest episodes between clans took place. It is there where we can photograph the Three Sisters and also recognize some landscapes of such famous films as Harry Potter or James Bond.

  • Three Sisters Viewpoint

  • Fort Augustus

We will continue with our excursion to Loch Ness and we will cross Fort William. The great mountains of Scotland and Ben Nevis will take us into the Great Glen. This geological fault divides the heart of the Highlands and hosts Lake Linhe, Lochy Lake, Lake Oich and Loch Ness. The Canal de Caledonia and the lock system of Fort Augustus will be our destination. There will be time to visit the canal and anyone who wishes can also take a cruise on Loch Ness. Do not forget your camera, the landscape will give you the best panoramas. On the southern shore of Loch Ness perhaps its mysterious inhabitant appears: Nessie, the monster of Loch Ness. During this stop there will be free time to eat, take a walk or relax on the lakeshore. Another attraction of Fort Augustus will be the lock system of the Caledonia Canal. This canal is considered the longest in the country and links the North Sea with the Atlantic Ocean through the Great Valley.

  • Commando Monument

The way back from the Loch Ness excursion will take us to the Commando Memorial. This monument commemorates the courage of a group of fundamental soldiers in World War II. From this point you can appreciate (if the fog allows it) the splendor of Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in the United Kingdom.

  • Pitlochry

The route will continue through the Cairngorms National Park. Lake Lagann and the Palace of Ardverikie will be some of the places that we will pass until we reach Pitlochry. This town of Victorian houses will welcome us to regain strength in one of its pubs, before our return to Edinburgh.

  • Edinburgh

The road to Edinburgh will make us enjoy the change of landscape between the Highlands and the Lowlands. The 19th century railway bridge crosses the Firth of the Forth and is another contribution of Scotland to the list of World Heritage Sites. Already in the city, there will be time to offer some clues about what to visit in the Scottish capital.
