Originally there were barns in the place of the courtyards and with time and war things have changed. Today there are 8 elegant, colorful courtyards, surrounded by greenery consisting of apartments, shops of all kinds, bars, cinemas; very well maintained and well maintained. During the day there is a continuous coming and going but in the evening the gates are closed. It is worth taking this long walk to get there and visit them. The only bad thing is that we went on a Sunday and almost all businesses were closed. In some buildings there are photos that highlight the various renovations. We entered the Hackescher Hof bar and restaurant on Rosenthaler Strasse 40-41 for an aperitif. I took the opportunity to take pictures. A glass of Chardonnay white wine cost €5.70 instead of a very small bottle of water €3.90
