Overview of the fado with explanations and interpretation. The presenter was also a fado singer and spoke all languages very well. In short, very friendly experience. We highly recommend this experience.

A fabulous Portuguese fado show, moving and authentic. Small downside: as a French, we were disappointed not to have an audio guide for the explanations between songs, while other French behind us had some. Other than that, the two musicians and the two singers were absolutely beautiful, a real moment of grace.

Very nice experience this fado evening. She mixes singing with music and explanations about the origins of fado, its instruments and the different currents (Lisbon, Coimbra). DE small passages of documentaries and interviews decorate the songs. The evening was very lively because on several occasions the spectators were invited to sing with the artists.

Experience first, traditional Fado, an intense style from Lisbon, where it all began. Then, enjoy the stylings of the unique Portuguese Guitar while tasting a Tawny Port. Listen and witness the Lisbon and Coimbra playing techniques.
Discover the Coimbra Fado, completely unique to the Portuguese people and sung live by a male singer, a former student at the Coimbra University, as tradition demands. Then, discover Amalia Rodrigues, the queen of Portuguese Fado. Watch how she transformed traditional Fado and brought unprecedented recognition.
Finally understand how Fado survives and thrives through the years, and how it is preserved, as you will see by the end of the show.
