We had to cancel at last minute because of bad weather and our ship didn’t dock because of that. Tour operator very rude with messages, which only made me retaliate. Will not recommend as tour operator was not obliging and would not give us even a partial refund. I don’t ever want to go to St Tropez now after being treated this way, this was our first experience to Europe and we were looking forward to visiting.

Dear Michelle, I knew you would have written such a bad review, after all the insults that came from the conversation. I think the best answer is to give a copy paste of our conversation on viator system, knowing that I tried to contact you the day before the tour and you never replied. And short time before the tour starts, you asked for reimbursement. I do think I was not the one being rude. Here is the following conversation we had : -Hello, due to adverse weather conditions we are now not stopping in st tropez. Am I still able to be refunded for your tour? Sorry for any inconvenience. Kind Regards Michelle Lees -Dear Michelle, I'm sorry to read about it. I am always happy to reimburse if guests cannot reach Saint Tropez because they are on a cruise. This is easily possible for a simple guided tour. However for a food tour, it's more complicated since I order and pay in advance to the local stores. And one hour ahead is pretty tough for me to cancel. I hope you understand. I would be happy if you come back to Saint Tropez next year to welcome you and Tracey in another food tour. I am more than flexible about cruises, because I know how it works and I know the weather in Saint Tropez. If you had contacted me or let me know earlier you were on a cruise, I would have told you that we need to cancel because the wind was strong. This is what's happening most of the time. Please consider that, behind these booking platforms, some small businesses are working. A guide was already there, planning the tour and food was already bought. If I refund you this tour, I will pay myself for the guide and for the food (and please be aware also that Viator takes more than 30% of commission on the activity). I am doing my best to help you, that's why I suggested to let you have another tour if you come back. I can also write a document if you need for your cancellation policy due to the cruise about how much you paid on viator. In this case, I really advise you, when you are on a cruise and you book activities directly, to let us know that you may cancel because of the cruise. It was not good for tenders to reach the harbor because the wind is stronger on the sea. I won't be paying for you because you never contacted me nor wanted any kind of recommendation. Frederique was very kind, attentive, and knowledgeable and we really enjoyed the tour and beautiful picnic. She answered all of our questions and spoke English really well. We learned a lot about St Tropez history and appreciated all of the local recommendations for different delicacies.
