Walking tour of Aix

Julia_M, Dec 2024

Good overview of the historic section of Aix. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the areas we visited. We had our tour on market day and that added to our experience. Also we enjoyed pastries, cheese, meat, bread and wine from the local area. Really enjoyed our guide.

A Symphony of Flavors and History

Jason_P, Oct 2024

Our recent city tour of Aix-en-Provence was a memorable experience, thanks to our knowledgeable and passionate guide. She expertly blended history, culture, and gastronomy, bringing to life the city's rich past and vibrant present. Highlights included a stroll along the iconic Cours Mirabeau, where we learned about the life and works of local painter Paul Cézanne. The tour also featured a delightful culinary journey, with tastings of local cheeses, wines, and Provençal delicacies. Our guide's love for Aix-en-Provence was contagious, and her helpful tips and recommendations made our entire stay even more enjoyable. This tour is a must-do for anyone looking to truly experience the essence of this beautiful city.

Excellent tour to start our visit in Aix en Provence

suzanne_s, Sept 2024

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3-hour tour with Fabienne. She was wonderfully knowledgeable and inviting. We learned so much of Aix en Provence’s history throughout, from 300 BC through the Black Plague, the French Revolution and the Resistance in WW2. Her tour included details about architecture, building construction and city layout over the centuries. We had delicious local pastries and tastes of unique-to-Aix-en-Provence sweets. We also visited a morning market where we tried sausages and a variety of cheeses, with a glass of Provence’s rose. If you have only a few days in Aix, book this tour to learn so much in a short period of time. The tour gave us a great feel for the city and Fabienne was so helpful in explaining all aspects of this special place. She also gave great restaurant recommendations and offered to assist us with anything we needed during our stay. The tour was like a warm introduction to this city and to a new friend. Highly recommend.
