Review 3-day North Wales & Chester Tour from Manchester

Very good trip, well organised for someone like me who was going in North Wales for the first time ! Adam, the driver and guide, was good and very nice with everyone, although I would have appreciated sometimes more historical facts, more details about an historical event. But he was driving at a good pace and stick to good timings! The "less good" point: the meeting place with the bus. When you're not familiar with Manchester, it is quite hard to find the meeting place, even if we were given details in the email of confirmation. It was in a road not very frequented, almost no buildings so not many people passing by on a Saturday, under a bridge, not really reassuring.

Darren, tour guide and van driver, was entertaining, kind, funny, knowledgeable. Llandudno was an excellent choice for lodging and restaurants.

Stewart was a highlight and a pleasure to have on his maiden trip with the company. He has so much energy it’s infectious. Great way to see a lot of wales in a short period of time. Chester was a highlight. My only feedback was I didn’t enjoy portmerrion particularly bc it was a separate cost to enter and was not worth it IMO. Otherwise perfect tour. Thank you !
A Castle at Every Turn

If you want to visit many castles, this is the tour. Darren, our tour guide, had an impressive knowledge of the country and the sites. And the sheep...wow, they are everywhere. A caution for those with limited mobility - there were great distances to walk from the drop off point to the main attractions in some towns, often up steep inclines and cobbled streets, making it hard for those with limited mobility. We called a cab a few times to get back to the van on time.

- Luggage Allowance: You're restricted to 14kg (31lbs) of luggage per person on our tours. This should be one piece of luggage similar to an airline carry-on bag (approximately 55cm x 45cm x 25cm / 22in x 17in x 10in) plus a small bag for onboard personal items.
- When booking three or more people, efforts will be made to book a combination of suitable rooms (double/twin/single). Preferences should be noted upon booking in the Special Requirements section
- B&Bs tend to be located on the outskirts of towns and you should be prepared for a 20-30 minute walk to local facilities like pubs and restaurants. If you have difficulty with stairs, please mention it to us as lifts will not be available in this type of property.
