Overview
Meet your guide and small group in the center of Aix-en-Provence, and board your minibus. Your first stop is Lourmarin where you’ll have roughly an hour to explore the village that’s known as one of the prettiest in France.
From Lourmarin, you’ll return to the road, making a quick stop en-route for photos at Bonnieux, a striking village that seems to cling to the side of the Luberon. From here, it’s a short drive onward to Roussillon, the Luberon town famous for its ochre quarries and rosy cliffs.
After spending an hour in Roussillon, you’ll journey on to your final destination—Gordes. Probably the best-known village in the region, Gordes is instantly recognizable for its hilltop perch and views that lend themselves to panoramic Provence photos. Spend an hour here as you wish, then relax on the journey back to Aix-en-Provence.

The tour was great and our guide Lucy was exceptional. I was unfamiliar with these villages and was pleasantly surprised with the beauty of the area, scenery, and towns. The town of Roussillon was great and our timing combined with good weather provided some great photos.

Wonderful overview of Luberon villages

This trip took in some very picturesque villages in the Luberon, including Lourmarin, Rousillon and Gordes. Our guide Max was friendly and knowledgeable. His commentary about different points along the trip was very entertaining and funny. Max was also very kind and generous with his time, providing me with other information about France generally that I was curious about. Highly recommended!
