The trip was guided with excellence by Patricia. She shared the history of Menton along with Menton food specialties. Each stop provided a new learning experience and the food was delightful. Well worth it.

Very well organised with a range of different types of food to taste. Best lemon tart ever and a beautiful sunny day in Menton.

Menton is like a little visit to Italy- and it was fun to have a guide take us to try fresh local specialties

Different to previous “city tours” I have done. Discovered new food and wine delicacies during a pleasant wander through the streets of this beautiful town. Patricia was a delightful host and very knowledgeable about the gourmet delights on offer.
As an appetizer, let us savor a few sips of Provence's wines, delicately infused with the citrus fruits of Menton, crafted by one of the region's most renowned fruit producers.
After the wines, what could be better than tasting Socca? Socca is our famous local pancake made from chickpea flour. We enjoy it simply, served warm with a sprinkle of black pepper on top.
Next, it’s time to explore the charming market of Menton. Here, we’ll meet local producers and make a stop at Giuseppe’s store to enjoy some toasts topped with tapenade. This delightful paste, made from either black or green olives with a hint of lemon, beautifully captures the essence of Menton.
Gathered around a table in the shade of the market hall, we will indulge in a selection of local specialties:
Pichade: A delightful variation of pizza, made with a crispy crust and topped with fresh tomatoes, onions, and aromatic herbs. Flavored with thyme and anchovies, this dish is a true treat for the taste buds!
Pissaladière: A savory tart featuring a thin, flaky crust topped with caramelized onions, black olives, and anchovies. The harmonious blend of sweet, savory, and subtly salty flavors makes it a cherished regional delicacy.
Barbajuan: A fried ravioli crafted from delicate dough and filled with a delicious mixture of ricotta cheese, Parmesan, herbes de Provence, and Swiss chard.
The fifth stop takes us to Plage des Sablettes, a stunning seaside location where many of Menton's renowned restaurants are nestled, offering both breathtaking views of the sea and exquisite cuisine. Here, we’ll gather at the table of the celebrated chef Mauro Colagreco's restaurant to enjoy a selection of Italian cheeses and charcuterie, perfectly paired with Provençal wine. What a delightful experience!
Have you ever experienced the exquisite taste of truffle? Our fourth tasting will feature the renowned white truffle! We will sample a variety of creams and pastes, expertly prepared in the traditional Italian style with white truffles from Alba.
Now, let’s indulge in tarte au citron!
This classic lemon tart from Menton is cherished for its vibrant citrus flavor and delightful contrast of textures. We’ve handpicked a particularly exquisite one for you to enjoy—you’re sure to fall in love with every bite!
We are also delighted to introduce you to the exquisite orange cake crafted by chef Mauro Colagreco, perfectly paired with a rich Italian espresso!
Let’s conclude our tour with a refreshing glass of Limoncello liqueur—you’re sure to love it!
