Start your Chao Phraya River cruise with hotel pickup in central Bangkok, if you've selected this option. Your driver will drive you to the waterfront and accompanies you aboard a luxurious riverboat for a leisurely dinner cruise on this major waterway. Otherwise meet at the pier.
Find a seat in the warmly furnished dining room, or head out to the deck to see the illuminated Bangkok skyline slip past. As the boat drifts along, your guide points out top landmarks lining the banks of the Chao Phraya; admire the 17th-century Temple of Dawn, known as Wat Arun, and see Bangkok’s famous Grand Palace—even more dazzling when lit up at night.
Treat yourself to the large buffet of Thai dishes and desserts, then settle down for dinner while you listen to a live band and other entertainers.
After disembarking the boat, complete your excursion at your original departure point.

Avoid this, it is absolutely rubbish!

Avoid this at all costs! It’s not cheap, so we expected a first-class experience. Especially after reading many reviews. Save your money, it is absolutely rubbish. As soon as we left, dinner service was announced and we were all asked to line up in 2 long lines. I haven’t lined up like that since I was a child at school. The rush was appalling. People were rushing and jostling, like they hadn’t eaten in months. We chose to wait. When we eventually got to the food, we couldn’t believe the poor choice. My son only had a plate of fried rice and I had to settle for a plate of cold boiled rice. I did try a small spoon of some kind of dish (I had to get that later into the journey, as the queue for food was busy for some time) but couldn’t eat it. It was cold and tasteless. The whole point of this cruise was that it was meant to be a sightseeing / buffet cruise. There was no sightseeing commentary and the food was an absolute disgrace. The staff were consistently trying to sell drinks, push you to buy the poor quality photographs they took when we first embarked, but didn’t once check if we were happy with the quality of service, or the food. On the subject of the staff, it took 4 tries to actually get someone capable of taking a drinks order and even then, they got it wrong. 3 x Coca Cola drinks shouldn’t be a difficult ask. The only positive was the musical duo (female singer and saxophonist). The singer in particular worked the crowd very well and was very entertaining. For those interested in the music and wanting to dance, it ended up being a deck disco. Save your time and save your money. DO NOT BOOK THIS CRUISE!

Expect chaos at the pier, lots of boats, lots of signs. Chaos, so arraive in time. But when on the boat, the staff is friendly, view beautiful, beer free, and a fun dance floor, with good music.

Nice atmosphere

The experience to see the area around the port and the boat experience was nice but not as authentic as I read. The food was not great but maybe others would like it. It's a nice boat tour and the singers were nice but wouldn't book food if I do it again.

Nice option for tired travelers

Interesting experience. Since i don't eat seafood, there weren't many options for me, but in general the dinner was fine. There were two singers. The woman was very good, but at times if felt like karaoke. Very nice view. A fun touristy experience.
