Overview

Sake is a Japanese alcoholic drink that’s also known as rice wine. It can be tricky as an outsider to know which type of sake to order, so eliminate language barriers, and boost your sake knowledge by having a tasting session with a sake sommelier in Tokyo. Try 6–7 types of sake with detailed explanations of the best way to drink them, and the best foods to go with them.

A short and powerful introduction to sake

평소 사케에 대해 알고 싶어 도쿄 거주하는 친구와 함께 방문했습니다 전문적인 설명을 듣고 여러 사케를 시음할 수 있었습니다 매우 유익했습니다 I visited with a friend who lives in Tokyo because I wanted to learn more about sake. We were able to taste various kinds of sake while listening to professional explanations. It was very informative

Hi Kwon, It was my first time speaking in Japanese while your friend translated it into Korean, and it was certainly an enjoyable experience. I am pleased to hear that you found it valuable to learn about and taste a variety of sake with my explanations. I hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again on a future food and drinks tour. Thank you very much. Aki

We had the best time! Aki is a great guide for all things sake -- he is very knowledgable and good at sharing his expertise. We learned so much, and thoroughly enjoyed every minute! It was well worth the price -- we were very lucky that it was just the two of us.

Very rewarding!

Our host was very welcoming and took care to answer any questions we had after his explanations about the making and types of sake. The topic was very interesting and the facilitator added notes of humor that energized the presentation. I recommend this experience which helps us greatly to detect important information when buying or tasting sake.
